Aroma Voluminous with creamy notes of vanilla and coconut, which fade into rich citrus tones and fresh hints of marmalade. Sweet and spicy oak notes follow.
Taste Sweet sultana notes and tropical fruits are balanced by darker notes and hot caramel as well as fresh tobacco.
Finish Fruity with spice and the maritime sea salt touch typical of Pulteney.

Product description
The Old Pulteney Harbour matured in hand-selected ex-bourbon casks made from American white oak, which developed the distillery's typical maritime influence in the traditional Dunnage Warehouse near Wick Bay, which is also reflected in the flavour (albeit very subtly) in the bottling. Together with Highland Park and Wolfburn, Pulteney is one of the most northerly Scottish distilleries.

For a long time Pulteney could be called the most northern distillery on the Scottish mainland. When Wolfburn Distillery in Thurso opened in 2013 they took over this title, but Pulteney hasn’t lost its attraction on Whisky lovers. The coastal style of the Old Pulteney Whisky (as the Whiskies from Pulteney are called) is a very unique one and the releases use to be very well judged by the Whisky experts. read more

Kommentar: Für einen Old Pulteney ehr schwach. Man merkt, dass der Harbour sehr jung ist, dennoch kann man die Maritimen Noten und den Destillery Karakter erkennen.
Besser ein paar Euro mehr investieren und sich den genialen 12er gönnen.
