Auchentoshan was built as early as 1800 under the name Duntocher. It was not until 1823 that the distillery was officially registered and thus legalised. The 18-year-old Single Malt is part of the distillery's standard range and now has a new design. With classic black, white and gold tones as well as embossed bottle, the colour of the Single Malt shines a little more than its predecessor.

Kommentar: Die alte blaue Flasche 18 Jahre Auchentochan viel durch seine blumige frische und tollen frischen Pfeifentabakgeschmack auf.
Ich mag mich täuschen, aber die neue braune Flasche hat einen viel gediegenen Tabakgeruch, eher dunkler schwerer Tabak. Es kommt hier viel deutlichere Eiche, Fass heraus, wie es beim 21 jährigen Auchentoshan der Fall ist.
Guter Whisky, aber blumige Leichtigkeit, frischer Tabakgeruch deutlich zurückgegangen.
