The 15-year-old Glen Grant is matured exclusively in first-fill bourbon casks and is bottled at 50% batch strength.
Major' James Grant Junior inherited the Glen Grant distillery from his father in 1872 and had big plans for it. At the age of 25, enthusiastic about the subject of technology, he specially designed new, tall and narrow stills and the then unique water coolers and filters.

Abgang: recht lang, nussig, fruchtig, Karamell und süße

Kommentar: Trotz der 50 % recht mild im Geschmack. Die 50 % tun dem Whisky gut. Mit etwas Wasser kommt mehr Fruchtigkeit.

Kommentar: Die 50% sind sehr gut eingebunden. Wer trotzdem vorsichtig "wässern" will, kann damit die Fruchtigkeit/Komplexität erhöhen.

Geschmack: kräftig, würzig, Nuss, Fass auf den zweiten Schluck (und mit n bisschen Wasser), fruchtiger Fruchtkompott
