Product description

Glen Scotia Victoriana is post-matured in heavily burnt-out casks and bottled at strong cask strength. The Glen Scotia distillery was founded in Campbeltown in 1832. By using traditional copper stills, the fruit and spice aromas typical of Glen Scotia are created. Each cask is personally selected by Malt Master John Peterson.

Aroma: Maschinenraum, süßes Holz, Rauch, Karamell, Vanille, bisschen Blüten, richtig Eiche; mit Wasser süßer, Rauch kriecht hervor, etwas Nuss, Popcorn, Schoko

Geschmack: pur zu kräftig: Alkohol, Süße hintendran, Eiche; mit Wasser prickelnder, mehr Frucht, dunkle Süße über Eiche

Abgang: Maschinenraum, Würze, wenig Frucht; mit Wasser besser, fruchtiger; länger

Kommentar: Dieser Whisky ist wirklich jung und scharf. Das ist für mich eigentlich ein Grund einen WHisky direkt nicht zu mögen. Das habe ich hier auch erstmal nicht. ABER: Ein wenig Wasser dazu, ordentlich atmen lassen, dann nur kleine Schlucke. Auf einmal macht dieser Whisky auf und wird für sein jugendliches Alter unfassbar komplex und facettenreich. EIn WHisky, bei dem man einen ganzen Abend Spass mit haben kann. Man entdeckt immer wieder neue Aspekte. Absolute empfehlung...
