Aroma Exciting combination of red apple on homemade brown bread with a cup of tea. Citrus marmalade, sparkling white pepper, mixed herbs, cola and sherbet sweets and a hint of lavender in fresh earth.
Taste Spices that dance gently on the tongue, shortbread with lemon and strawberry, black pepper, grapefruit, chilli chocolate, salted crackers, barley sugar sweets, summer fruit compote and liquorice confectionery.
Finish Long and dry, with a lingering gentle spiciness that leads to dried fruit.

The Waterford Cuvée Koffi is the Irish distillery's oldest single malt to date. Head Distiller Ned Gahan combines a total of 24 single farm origin whiskies from Waterford, which matured for 6 years in casks typical of the distillery. The bottling was named after the French artist Nathanaël Koffi, whose vibrant work of art is reflected on the whisky's label and reflects its rich diversity.

The Waterford Distillery was created in 2015 by converting a former Guinness Brewery in Waterford, in the very south of Ireland. The distillery's founder Mark Reynier was formerly the mastermind behind the rebuilding of Islay Distillery Bruichladdich. The former Wine merchant approaches Whisky (spelled without an 'e', even if they come frome Ireland) production in a similar way to Wine production: He wants to capture the terroir, i.e. the origin-specific character of the grain, with his Whiskies. read more

Aroma: Spannende Kombination von rotem Apfel auf hausgemachtem Schwarzbrot zu einer Tasse Tee. Zitrusfrucht-Marmelade, prickelnder weißer Pfeffer, gemischte Kräuter, Cola- und Brausebonbons sowie ein Hauch von Lavendel in frischer Erde.

Geschmack: Sanft auf der Zunge tanzende Gewürze, Shortbread mit Zitrone und Erdbeere, schwarzer Pfeffer, Grapefruit, Chilischokolade, Salzcracker, Gerstenzucker-Bonbons, Sommerfrüchtekompott und Lakritzkonfekt.

Abgang: Lang und trocken, mit einer anhaltenden sanften Würze, die zu getrockneten Früchten überleitet.
