This Glenallachie also belongs to the Journeys series of the independent bottler Murray McDavid. The series was launched exclusively for a German importer and is a homage to the picturesque evening atmosphere in southern port cities. All three Single Malts that make up the trio were matured exclusively in Portuguese and Spanish (single) casks. This Glenallachie spent 13 years in a first-fill Oloroso Sherry Cask before it was bottled at cask strength without chill-filtering or the addition of colour.
