Product description
The Alrik Pedro Ximénez Cask Hercynian comes from the German Hercynian Distilling Co. / Hammerschmiede, which is based in the southern Harz Mountains. Only malt is used for the single malt, which is smoked vigorously over beech and alder wood. The single malt matured in first-fill Pedro Ximénez sherry quarter casks made from European oak. The smaller casks mean that the whisky has more contact with the staves during its maturation period and matures more intensively. It is neither chill-filtered nor coloured and is bottled at 55.1% vol. exclusively for Kirsch Import customers.
