Variety Single Malt Whisky
Aroma Oily, with a touch of olive oil, sweet-woody accents of rosehip, herbs like coriander and sage, accents of smoked lemon peel. More oily with the addition of water, waxy and slightly soapy with a hint of crème brûlée.
Taste A soft, oily, enveloping texture leads to a sweet, smoky Taste with notes of moss, treacle, aniseed pastilles and a nice sweet, woody/balsamic bouquet followed by smoxea apricots and some eucalyptus oil.
Finish Last spicy, sweet-smoky aftertaste with hints of coconut, cumin and cardamom.

Product description
This Ardbeg Single Malt Whisky is the first bottling of the limited Anthology Series by Ardbeg. Harpy's Tale matured for 13 years in rare Sauternes wine casks and was married with classic Ardbeg ex-bourbon. After over a decade in the cask, the rising smoke turns to sweetness as Ardbeg's distinctive character combines with the rich facets of the Sauternes casks. The design is inspired by the legend of the Harpies, hybrid creatures half human woman half bird. The legendary bottling comes at 46% vol. slightly increased drinking strength without colouring and without chill filtering.

Kommentar: Nett. Aber auch nicht mehr. Das Sauternes-Finish liegt mir nicht, etwas süßlich "spitz". Passt nicht so gut zum Ardbeg-Rauch. Zu teuer.

Kommentar: Finde es toll was Ardbeg hier fabriziert hat. Der Scotch ist angenehm ölig, hat eine tolle Nase (erinnert mich an Vanilleeis mit Lagerfeuerrauch vermischt) und sollte von allen gekauft werden, die Ardbeg generell mögen.
