Product description
The Mackmyra DNA is a small batch bottling from the Swedish distillery, which is produced from very small 30-litre casks. This allows it to mature faster and more intensively. The cask composition also consists of Swedish oak casks, ex-Bourbon casks, Oloroso casks, new American oak casks, Ambassador casks and Pedro Ximénez casks. The Single Malt matured 50 metres below ground in the underground mines in Bodås.

Mackmyra Distillery used to work in an old mill and stopped production in 2011. The new distillery called Mackmyra Gravity started without delay. Today there are Whiskies from both distilleries on the market.

Aroma: Deutliche Vanille mit Schokoladenfondant, dazu Marzipannoten. Süße, orangefarbene Zitrusfrüchte, Mandarinen und fruchtige Anklänge von reifen Pflaumen verbinden sich mit einem Hauch von tropischer Mango und Ananas.
Geschmack: Alle Aromen finden sich auch im Geschmack wieder. Das Mundgefühl ist wärmend mit Vanille und Fondant. Saure Noten von roten Äpfeln und eingelegtem Ingwer kommen hinzu.
Abgang: Lang und ausgewogen mit würzigen und krautigen Noten, Zimt- und Stroharomen sowie Facetten von süßen, roten Beeren.
Geschmack: Alle Aromen finden sich auch im Geschmack wieder. Das Mundgefühl ist wärmend mit Vanille und Fondant. Saure Noten von roten Äpfeln und eingelegtem Ingwer kommen hinzu.
Abgang: Lang und ausgewogen mit würzigen und krautigen Noten, Zimt- und Stroharomen sowie Facetten von süßen, roten Beeren.

Kommentar: Ich/wir haben nun schon einige Mackmyra's getrunken und sind grundsätzlich positiv zu den Schweden. Aber das plv. bei dem DNA ist massig. Schöne Verpackung aber der Inhalt ist durchschnittlich. Es gibt bessere MackMyras für weniger Geld.
