Aroma: Mild bis dezent, interessantes Fruchtpottburri, rotfruchtig-beerig. Relativ süß, aber vor allem würzig. Rauch und Malz habe ich nicht.
Geschmack: Mild, süß, hier eher Vanille und Malznoten, Frucht im Hintergrund. Sherry kaum erkennbar. Kein Rauch. Schönes Holz, gut eingetttet.
Abgang: Allenfalls mittellang und süß. Es fehlt der Alkoholgehalt.
Kommentar: Nunja. Man könnte es positiv formulieren und sagen: Ein milder, einsteigerkompatibler und filigraner Dram, der vor allem in der Nase eine hohe Komplexität hat, die allerdings im Mund nachlässt. Schon hier fehlen die die Volumenprozente. Er hat auch im Mund ein nettes Wechselspiel zwischen Süße und Bitterkeit, allerdings weniger Frucht als erwartet. Ich bekam ihn um die 50 EUR, was okay ist. Der UVP von 75 EUR ist eindeutig zu hoch bepreist. Dafür müssten es schon 3-6 Volumenprozente mehr sein und es müsste auch eine typischere Charakteristik sein Der Whisky ist mir einfach zu wenig unverwechselbar für den Preis.

Aroma: stark alkoholisch , schon mit Eiche im Duft
Geschmack: noch leicht die Fruchtigkeit des 12ers, aber schon deutlich schwächer, ohne die Harmonie und Sherrynote des 18ers zu erreichen.
Abgang: recht kurz, bittersweet und alkoholisch
Kommentar: nicht mehr so jung und "fröhlich" wie der 12er, nicht so reif und rund wie der 18er. Für mich daher unter bezahlbaren den Cardhu immer die letzte Wahl.
