The name of Cardhu Amber Rock was inspired by warm and liquid amber. Double maturation in bourbon casks gave the malt particularly strong vanilla aromas.

Aroma: Schokolade, Mandeln sowie heimische Früchte wie Birne
Geschmack: wieder schmeckt man Apfel und Birne und etwas Ingwer...nicht mein Ding
Abgang: sehr lang anhaltend, Kakao und etwas Eiche
Kommentar: Habe ihn gekauft, weil er bei Jim Murray 87,5 Punkte bekommen hat. Die hätte ich nicht gegeben. Der Preis ist ok und mehr kann man dann auch nicht verlangen. Für mich eher ein durchschnittlicher Whisky.
