Product description

Arran Amarone Cask Finish is the fourth bottling in Arran's wine finish series, alongside Marsala, Port and Sauternes. This Single Malt, matured in an ex-bourbon cask, was allowed to mature in an Amarone red wine cask and thus attains its intense red colour and the clearly pronounced fruit aromas.

The Distillery:

The Lochranza distillery is located on the Isle of Arran, after which it was initially named. In 2019, Lagg, the second distillery on the island, opened. As a result, Arran renamed itself Lochranza to better distinguish it. However, the Single Malt Whisky is still available under the Arran brand. read more

Sehr schöne Nase.
Vor allem die Holznoten.
Weniger fruchtig als erwartet.
Und relativ kräftig im Geschmack.
Die 50% merkt man.

Kommentar: Dürfte wirklich ein junger Malt sein. Trotzdem rund mit intensiven Fruchtaromen und leichte Eichenwürze.
Toll gemacht! Interessanter Malt.
