Arran Port Cask Finish belongs to the wine finish series of the island distillery. In this series, Arran experiments with the influence of different cask maturations. This Arran comes from the core range with post-maturation in port wine casks. After the usual maturation in ex-bourbon casks, the wine finish gave the bottling intense fruity notes.

The Distillery:

The Lochranza distillery is located on the Isle of Arran, after which it was initially named. In 2019, Lagg, the second distillery on the island, opened. As a result, Arran renamed itself Lochranza to better distinguish it. However, the Single Malt Whisky is still available under the Arran brand. read more

    Kommentar: Nichts wirklich Aufregendes, macht aber Spaß.
    Wie mag der werden, wenn er ein paar Jahre mehr Zeit im Fass hätte.....

    Kommentar: süß, fruchtig nach Beeren und Wein und dann ein Holz-Hammer mit prickelnder Eiche und satter Würze. Kein Daily-Dram aber es gibt viel zu entdecken gerade mit Verdünnung. Aus meiner Sicht Platz 2 bei den drei Arran-Finishs.
