Product description
Bushmills Cuvée Cask is another edition in the Causeway Collection. It is inspired by the natural spectacle of the Giant's Causeway, which consists of around 40,000 basalt columns that form a causeway. The limited edition Single Malt Whiskey was first matured for eight years in Oloroso Sherry and Bourbon whiskey casks, before it was matured for two more years in French Cuvée wine casks. It was then bottled at cask strength.

Aroma: Er beginnt mit einer ziemlich satten, runden Note in der Nase, die richtig süss ist, aber auch etwas dunkel, das heisst also eher süsse Waldfrüchte, Caramel und nicht Vanille; leicht nussig und ein leicht malziger Anklang; sehr rund und sehr ausgewogen und harmonsich.

Geschmack: Sehr süsse Weinnoten im Mund, also an Glühwein erinnernd, aber auch Erdbeeren, später etwas mehr Espresso und Kaffeenoten, leichte Eichenwürze aufkommend; Alkohol gut eingebunden, den kann man Cask Strength ohne zu Verdünnen problemlos geniessen.

Abgang: Im Abgang bleiben Kaffee und etwas Würze zurück, aber nicht zu intensiv.

Kommentar: Wieder eine super gelungene Causeway Collection.
