    Kommentar: Ich habe diesen Whisky hier bei whisky.de vor mindestens 5 Jahren gekauft und ein wenig geschmunzelt, dass er "nichts für schwache Nerven" sei. Ist er wirklich nicht ... aber er ist grandios im Geschmack, sogar für Whisky-Liebhaber wie mich, die nicht nur an den rauchigen Destilaten hängen. Insgesamt ein richtig guter, gelungener und dazu noch "preisgünstiger" Whisky. Nur zu empfehlen!

    On the nose, neat: A real peat-bomb this one, some maritime notes, iodine.
    With Water: The smoke comes out more, there's a very slight onion note which I haven't ever had before, slight seaweed and some floral notes after a while with some sage.

    On the palate, neat: Alcohol nip with peat smoke, slight savoury, salty note, citrusy finish.
    With water: Citrus becomes more prevalent, smoke a little more intense and some spice notes start appearing that linger into the finish accompanying some oak wood. With more water some sweetness appears, burnt spices and herbal notes

    As I say, a real peat bomb, quite maritime and good value.

    Kommentar: Im Sample gekauft. Überraschung im positiven Sinn. Ein tolles Islay Brett. Würziger Rauch mit Chilli im Abgang. Dieser Abgang erinnert mich ein wenig an eine andere Insel, wenn nicht der heftige Rauch wäre. Wie Rainer schon schrieb, absolut nichts für Anfänger. Ich finde das er durchaus mit den großen Islays mithalten kann. Natürlich ist er jung, aber andere bekannte Islay Whiskys werden dafür ja zurecht gefeiert und er ist einem kleinen Biest recht ähnlich...
