The Japanese Single Malt comes from the Sakurao Distillery, which is already known for its Togouchi Whisky and Sakurao Gin brands. The whisky is distilled with great care in specially calibrated stills, making it particularly smooth. The three-year maturation takes place in four different types of casks. These include bourbon casks, new American white oak casks, sherry casks and mizunara casks.

The Sakurao Distillery, founded in 2018 and affiliated with the brewery of the same name, is located in Hiroshima Prefecture in southern Japan. The modern distillery produces high-quality Single Malts on two custom-built stills. The hybrid still, which achieves an alcohol content of up to 85%, is particularly noteworthy.

Für so einen jungen Whisky sehr süffig und lecker.
Angesichts dessen, dass man hier einen japanischen Single Malt und keinen Blend bekommt, und wenn man sich ansieht, was andere japanische Single Malts kosten, ist das hier ein recht gutes PLV.

Comment: had the pleasure to try this whisky in Japan, and luckily found the bottle here. A delicious whisky with a nice but subtle finish of smokiness
