Meikle Tòir (pronounced "Mee-kuhl Tor") translates as "Great Mission" which Billy Walker and the team at Glenallachie are pursuing with these heavy and smoky Single Malts. The Speyside region from which the whiskies originate is not necessarily known for smoky Single Malts, but this series aims to change that to some extent. The malt for these special bottlings is kilned over mainland peat from St Fergus, which provides sweet smoky notes with oak flavours. The Original is the flagship of the range and matured for 5 years in first fill Bourbon, American Virgin Oak and ex-rye casks. It is bottled with a PPM content of 35 PPM, without chill filtering and without artificial colouring.

The GlenAllachie Distillery, located in the famous Speyside region, is one of Scotland's younger distilleries, but since its takeover in 2017 by Billy Walker and his team, it has quickly made a name for itself with its high-quality Single Malt Whiskies. The name GlenAllachie comes from Gaelic and means ‘Valley of Stones’, which underlines the distillery's deep connection to the region.     In der Nase Backgewürze, gebrannter Honig und Espresso, dazu Haselnüsse, geräucherte Mandeln und Karamell. Am Gaumen süßer Torf, reichhaltige Schokolade und Heidehonig, dazu Zimt und Ingwer. Der Abgang ist mittellang, kräftig, würzig und süß.
