Beschrijving van het product
Glenfarclas 105 proof refers to the old British measure for indicating alcohol content. The whisky was mixed with gunpowder. The alcohol content could be calculated based on the explosive strength of the mixture. Glenfarclas 105, named after this process, matured exclusively in sherry casks resting in the old Glenfarclas warehouses and was bottled at a strong 60% vol.

Only a few distilleries in Scotland are still private owned. The Speyside distillery Glenfarclas is one of them. Maybe it’s the best known among them and maybe it’s one of the most successful family owned distilleries in Scotland ever. But for sure the Grants, owners of Glenfarclas, are very proud of the private status as their slogan “The Spirit of Independence” shows. Six generations of Grants have shaped Glenfarclas, from 1865 until today. This guaranteed a constancy of quality and foresight that a durable product as Whisky needs. Kräftiger Tropfen, für Fans von Fassstarken Sherryabfüllungen.
Nicht schlecht gemacht, allerdings auch nichts wirklich Besonderes.
Die Stärke dieser Abfüllung sind wohl die 60 % vol., die ihr in Verbindung mit der Füllmenge von 1 Liter ein relativ gutes PLV bescheren.
