Bushmills Cuvée Cask is another edition in the Causeway Collection. It is inspired by the natural spectacle of the Giant's Causeway, which consists of around 40,000 basalt columns that form a causeway. The limited edition Single Malt Whiskey was first matured for eight years in Oloroso Sherry and Bourbon whiskey casks, before it was matured for two more years in French Cuvée wine casks. It was then bottled at cask strength.

Ich mag die causeway collection von Bushmills schöner irischer Whiskey

Kommentar: bisher mit das Beste, was ich von Bushmills probiert habe! Im Aroma viele, unterschiedliche Früchte (säuerlich, frisch, beerig), Gewürze (Muskat) und Malz. Im Geschmack schon fast eine süße Sherrybombe.. die Fassstärke ist hier genau richtig, braucht für mich kein Wasser, ein paar Tropfen schaden aber auch trotzdem nicht. Langer Abgang, nussig-würzig mit durchaus etwas mineralischer Säure (sind das die Cuvée-Fässer?) sowie angenehm bitterschokoladiger Eiche am Ende. Rundum komplex und absolut mein Fall!
