Bushmills Steamship Sherry Cask was released to celebrate the 125th anniversary of the 'SS Bushmills' as part of a series of different cask maturations. 125 years ago, the SS Bushmills, the distillery's own steamship, had its maiden voyage. In contrast to the standard bottlings, the first edition from the series of the same name was matured entirely in sherry casks.

The Old Bushmills Distillery is probably the oldest licensed Whiskey distillery in the world - its licence dates back to 1608. It was officially founded in 1784 by Hugh Anderson in the Northern Irish town of Bushmills. Since then, Bushmills has been synonymous with traditionally triple-distilled, mild Irish Whiskey.     Öffne meine Flasche gerne direkt nach dem Erhalt und genieße sie erst 3-6 Monate später. (wird milder und der flüchtige Alkohol verschwindet)

    Kommentar: Es gibt weit bessere und intensivere Sherry Whiskys, aber bei dem PLV unschlagbar, Daher 4 Sterne von mir.
