Bushmills Steamship Sherry Cask was released to celebrate the 125th anniversary of the 'SS Bushmills' as part of a series of different cask maturations. 125 years ago, the SS Bushmills, the distillery's own steamship, had its maiden voyage. In contrast to the standard bottlings, the first edition from the series of the same name was matured entirely in sherry casks.

Aroma: recht aufdringlich süß Sweet und sehr sherrylastig Sherry daneben kann man kaum etwas wahrnehmen. Das ist schon sehr einseitig,

Geschmack: deutlich angenehmer als das Duft, auch hier süß Sweet und sherrydominant Sherry, aber auch kräftig nach Eiche Oak

Abgang: recht lang und würzig Spices

Kommentar: deutlich weicher als die normalen Bushmills, auch im Vergleich zum 10-jährigen Malt, für mich dürfte er durchaus ein paar Ecken und Kanten mehr haben. Ist eine Sherrybombe.
