This award-winning Penderyn received a further maturation in wine casks after a bourbon cask ageing. The whisky was then bottled at a pleasant 46% vol. Now with two whisky glasses in a practical gift set.

De Distilleerderij: Penderyn
Whisky from Penderyn Distillery is unique in many respects. Located in Brecon Beacon National Park, Penderyn is the only Whisky distillery in Wales. Furthermore, it uses a very special distillation method in a still called Faraday Still, which has been custom-made for Penderyn. In addition to the 'original' distillery, another Penderyn distillery opened on the northern coast of Wales at Lloyd Street in Llandudno in 2021.

Abgang: ganz leichte Süße, Honig, Pfeffer, lang anhaltend scharf, sehr ausgewogen
Kommentar:
Ein angenehmer Whisky. Leicht und mild mit tollen Aromen. Sehr zu empfehlen und direkt nochmal eine Flasche bestellt.

Aroma: süss mit grappaähnlichen Noten
Geschmack: überraschend rund mit süßen aber auch leicht biterren teilen
Abgang: mittellang, vanille und Rosinen kann man bestätigen
Kommentar: Schmeckt auf seine Art irgendwie anders und macht ihn positiv besonders, wir waren in unserer Runde recht überrascht... positiv.

Geschmack: Bäm! Nach dem äußerst gefälligen Aroma jetzt das! Unglaublich kräftig und würzig. Ja, auf jeden Fall auch Chili. Aber auch diese Süße und die Früchte aus dem Aroma sind deutlich zu schmecken.
Abgang: Mittel bis lang. Die Süße bleibt erhalten. Da ist aber auch trockene Eiche.
Kommentar: Vom Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis gehört dieser Whisky in die Oberklasse.
