The Hinch distillery in County Down, Northern Ireland, was founded by Belfast-born Aaron Flaherty, who has 15 years of experience in the Northern Irish whiskey industry. Flaherty has also worked at various Scottish distilleries. County Down in eastern Northern Ireland has always been considered a melting pot of Scottish and Irish culture, so Hinch Whiskey combines Flaherty's experience in the Scotch and Irish whiskey industries. This is the smoky Single Malt variant from the Northern Irish Hinch distillery.
