The Solist Peated is one of the first Kavalan Single Malts to be produced from peated malt and stored in refill casks. The single cask bottling was bottled at cask strength for a German importer. The whisky is neither chill-filtered nor coloured.

Aroma: etwas Rauch, süße und Früchte und Karamell
Geschmack: unverdünnt etwas stark. Rauch und Früchte, vom Fass krieg ich nichts mit
Abgang: lang und wärmend, würzig und etwas Rauch
Kommentar: Schotten überzeugen mich mehr. Nicht so komplex wie ein kilchoman oder so definiert wie ein Ardbeg, durchaus trinkbar aber für den Preis wäre er mir keine ganze Flasche wert

Kommentar: Die knapp 51 % sind sehr gut eingebunden, mit etwas Wasser lassen sich die fruchtigen Noten herauskitzeln und der Whisky wird insgesamt runder.
