The Westward distillery is located in the main barley growing region of Portland, Oregon. So it stands to reason that they also use local barley malt for the production of whiskey. Westward, one of the few US Single Malts, is produced according to strict criteria that are very similar to those for Scotch. This single cask was bottled exclusively for Whisky.de on 12.07.2021.

Kommentar: Wie alle mir bekannten US-Single-Malts hat der geschmacklich nichts mit den europäischen Malts zu tun. Das ist nicht abwertend gemeint - ich mag ihn sehr.
