The Tomintoul distillery is located in the famous Livet river valley. Tomintoul has special energy-saving heat exchangers. After cooling the alcohol vapours, the captured heat is returned to the mash.

Aroma: Vanille mit Gewürzen, Orangen, Honig, und Nußaromen.
Geschmack: Vanille und Honig mit hellem Kernobst und Nußnoten.
Abgang: Lang mit floralen Noten, Zitrusfrüchten und Nußaromen.

Aroma: Helle Früchte und süß nach Vanille und Honig. Leicht stechend in der Nase, vielleicht sind das Gewürze?
Geschmack: Süßlich und würzig, aber alles sehr leicht, wie mit angezogener Handbremse.
Abgang: Im Abgang kräftiger. Nun wieder sehr süß, prickelnde Würzigkeit. Bittere Eiche.
Kommentar: an sich ein trinkbarer Einstiegswhisky. Mit den 40% aber leider etwas fad im Geschmack und die bitteren Noten am Ende sind mir fast etwas zuviel. Interessant mal probiert zu haben, aber brauche ich eher nicht nochmal. Preislich dennoch in Ordnung.
