This Tomatin was produced exclusively for the 100th anniversary of the German distillery Kammer Kirsch, which also acts as importer, and spent 17 years in a French oak hogshead. The anniversary whisky was neither chill-filtered nor coloured, bottled at cask strength and is limited to a small number of bottles.

Tomatin has been a rising star among the Scottish distilleries since the beginning of the millennium. The Highland distillery was the biggest Scottish distillery in the 1970, but the quality of the Whisky wasn’t high regarded. Ups and downs followed and after been new positioned from 2000 onwards Tomatin grew to be one of the most reputable Scottish Whisky brands worldwide.

Aroma: Süße Noten von Sirup, Toffee und Apfelkuchen, bevor weitere Getreidenoten auftauchen und Akzente von frisch gebackenen Flapjacks übernehmen. Getrockneten Aprikosen- und Bananenchips, dunkle Schokolade und ein Hauch von Backgewürz folgen nach.
Geschmack: Sirupartig mit weiteren süßen Getreidenoten. Fruchtaromen wie Pflaumen- und Erdbeermarmelade gesellen sich hinzu, bis Noten von Ingwer, Zimt und Nelke übernehmen und mit wärmenden Facetten abschließen.
Abgang: Lang, süß und wärmend mit einem stets präsenten Unterton von Hafer.
