The Guatemala Gran Reserva Rum from Rum Nation is produced from molasses and distilled in a Scottish column still. The raw spirit is then matured in former bourbon barrels, which are stored at 185 metres above sea level in Guatemala's tropical climate. Rum Nation was founded in 1999 by Fabio Rossi, who focuses on the different characters of the rum-producing countries. The mostly limited bottlings of Rum Nation are therefore named after their respective homelands.
