The 25-year-old rum from Panama is made from fresh sugar cane juice and high-quality yeast in a column still. The rum then matures in former bourbon barrels in Panama's tropical climate and is subsequently bottled in limited quantities. The logo of the Malteco rums is the Quetzal bird, whose feathers are over a metre long and who is considered the reincarnation of the Aztec god Quetzalcoatl, who came ashore from the sea to teach the people.

Geschmack: Süßliche Noten von Kräutern, Karamell, Schokolade und Trockenfrüchten.
Geschmack: Anfangs dominieren Sahne-Karamell und Milchschokolade mit Würzigkeit im Hintergrund. Später wird die Würzigkeit dominanter.
Abgang: Ein Honig-Kräuterbonbon
Kommentar: Mein erster Rum. Intensiv im Geschmack und mild. Ich bin zufrieden. Freunden hat er sehr gut geschmeckt. Preis-Leistung kann ich nicht beurteilen.
