Glen Keith is one of the most modern distilleries in Scotland. Official bottlings from the Glen Keith distillery are very rare to find and the few that are on the market are mainly batches from the 1990s. This 21-year-old Single Malt comes from specially selected oak casks that were filled by hand.

Glen Keith is one of the younger distilleries in Scotland, having only been founded in 1957 by the Chivas Brothers. It is located in the beautiful Speyside town of Keith, within eyeshot of Strathisla, the oldest distillery in Scotland. 2000 the distillery was closed in 2013 and reopened.

Abgang: richtig lang und nachhallend
Kommentar: Traumhafter Whisky von welchem man nicht genug bekommen kann. So ein Tropfen öffnet einem die Geschmacks- und Geruchssinne in Dimensionen die mir vorher unbekannt waren. Einfach nur fantastisch.

Ja Wahnsinn, was für ein Monster! Cremig, fruchtig, man kann sich in Vanille und Karamell verlieren. Von Anfang bis Abgang. Dazu fruchtig süß, selbst die Zitrusnoten sind gepaart mit braunem Zucker und Mandeln, ja gebrannt trifft es richtig gut. Langer Abgang, fruchtig, ölig, nussig, weich und rund. Er deutet in jeder Stufe an dass er lange in Fässern reifte, aber die Süße und die Früchte dominieren total. Nach zwei Sekunden im Mund belegt er den gesamten Mundraum und Speichelfluss setzt ein, aber gefühlt so krass wie bei kaum einem anderen Whisky, und man will nur mehr mehr mehr! Wow, klare 5 Sterne!

Kommentar: In der Nase reife Früchte in Richtung Pfirsich mit etwas Vanille. Cremig, weich, fruchtig, malzig mit etwas Süße im Geschmack. Langer Abgang, mit dezenten Eichen Noten, leicht nussig, aber nicht bitter, ölig, samtig mit einer ganz leichten Würzigkeit.
Wow, was ein Dram. Die Flasche ist fast leer und wird sicherlich irgendwann wieder gekauft. Absolut empfehlenswerter Whisky, leider mit dem entsprechenden Preis.
