For the Don Julio Añejo Tequila 1942, agave was boiled for 72 hours and was double distilled. It was matured in smaller batches in American white oak barrels. This made it a rich, complex tequila that is best enjoyed neat or chilled over ice. The cultivation and harvesting of the agaves for Don Julio Tequila takes place in the 'Highlands' of Jalisco in Mexico, which offer the perfect microclimate and rich volcanic soil. It is also the birthplace of La Primavera distillery, founded by Don Julio Gonzalez in 1942, and thus the beginning of Don Julio Tequila.

Geschmack: Vollmundig mit Anklängen gebackener Agave in feiner Balance mit tropischen Früchten, Zigarrentabak und Kaffeebohnen. Im Anschluss Zimt und Pfeffer mit Akzenten von Zartbitterschokolade, Vanille und nussiger Eiche sowie etwas Crème brûlée.
Abgang: Lang, trocken und angenehm nussig.
