This Benromach is the second batch of the 40-year-old release, which was matured in hand-selected sherry casks. The exclusive single malt is bottled at 56.5% and comes in a high-quality wooden box.

Aroma: unglaublich komplex nach dunklen Früchten, Schokolade, Orange
Geschmack: abwechselnd nach Schokolade, orange, Früchten.
Abgang: die Eiche kommt sogleich beim Schlucken aber nicht so stark wie man es bei einem 40jährigen vermuten würde. anhaltend und reich an Aromen die schon im Geschmack auftraten.
Kommentar: der beste der mir jemals untergekommen ist bisher. Hatte die Gelegenheit diesen auf der messe the village zu probieren.

Geschmack: Süßliche Sauerkirschnoten, mit Bratapfel und Lakritze, gefolgt von Anklängen dunkler Schokolade und etwas schwarzem Pfeffer.
Abgang: Vollmundig mit Waldfruchtnoten und Akzenten von reifer Eiche.
