Lagavulin's classic is kilned with a high smoke content in the malt. The stills of the distillery are pear-shaped so that all flavours can be passed on to the condensers during distillation. The Single Malt is then matured in Bourbon and Sherry casks until perfection.

Kommentar: gar nicht mal so schlecht, etwas leichter als ein Ardbeg, in der Nase tropische Früchte (Mango, Ananas) ein Hauch von Rauch. Geschmacklich gut - für meinen Geschmack ordentlich Lagerfeuer und Pfeffer gepaart mit Chili. Im Abgang eher Tabak und Pfeffer und ein paar Fruchtbetonte Noten sowie Sherry.
