For the Teeling Single Malt, a wide variety of cask types are blended together: The malt spent its regular maturing period in the sherry casks. The malt received a finish in Cabernet Sauvignon, Burgundy, Madeira and Port wine casks before being blended. The Teeling family has been in the whiskey business since 1782.

The Teeling distillery has been in the Whiskey business since 1782. The founder of the first distillery was Walter Teeling and he set up his small distillery in the Marrowbone Lane in Dublin. The current distillery is just a few hundred meters away from this original location.

Aroma: sehr fruchtig durch die verschiedenen Fasstypen mit feiner süße und einer Apfel Note
Geschmack: Ebenfalls fruchtig wie Apfel-Birnen Kompott mit einer feinen Zimt Note. Dazu eine Vanille Note mit leichter Würze und Schärfe. Insgesamt schön fruchtig und komplex.

Kommentar: Toller Whiskey, bietet mit 46% pur und verdünnt ganz eigene Eindrücke. Schmeckt `hell` und fruchtig, aber es kommen auch dunklere Noten durch, sogar noch mehr mit etwas Wasser.
Im Abgang dann stark die Eiche die vorher kaum dabei war. Aber gerade pur kommt auch noch ein anhaltender Apfel-/Fruchtgeschmack dazu.
Damit in der Preiskategorie klar mein lieblings-Ire! Und 2019 war das für knappe 35€ wohl ein noch besseres Schnäppchen.
