The Speyburn distillery revised its range in 2018. In addition to the 10-year-old in the new design, there is now also a 15-year-old Single Malt. It was matured in American and Spanish oak casks.

Kommentar: Ich muss sagen, dass ich diesen Whisky wirklich mag. Ich habe Speyburn lange nicht auf dem Radar gehabt bis ich irgendwann einmal den 18er probiert habe. Der ist übrigens ebenfalls zu empfehlen. Aber selbst danach hat es lange gedauert bis ich einmal diesen 15er probiert habe. Dann habe ich mir aber direkt 3 Flaschen als Reserve bestellt, so gut gefällt er mir. Die Mischung von Sherry und bourbon ist gut getroffen. Er erinnert mich sehr vom Stil an Macallan oder Tamdhu und das sind ebenfalls Whiskys die ich mag. Viel Vanille und Karamell, schöne Fruchtnoten und Vollmilchschokolade. Alkohol super eingebunden und ein schönes alter, dass alles für einen guten Kurs. Was will man mehr?

Kommentar: Ist ein guter. Der 15er und der 18er Speyburn sind eine Bank. Etwas Zeit im Glas braucht er, aber dann kommt eine schöne Würze mit Frucht, Zitrus, Vanille.
