Product description
The latest bottling in Glencadam's portfolio is the American Oak Reserve. The Highlander develops its flavour profile in American bourbon casks from Kentucky, which were personally selected by Master Distiller Robert Fleming. The casks are then stored in Glencadam's traditional Dunnage Warehouse.

Aroma: Vanilla Fruit Floral Gerade erst aufgeschnittene Vanilleschote. Frisches Obst der hellen Sorte, gelber Apfel, grüne Birne. Etwas leicht florales im Hintergrund. Nicht zu komplex, aber angenehm.

Geschmack: Sweet Fruit Spices Süßlich und fruchtig, leichte Apfelsäure. Es prickeln ein paar sanfte Gewürze am Gaumen. Insgesamt eher ein leichter Schluck.

Abgang: Sweet Spices Fruit Oak Es bleibt angenehm süß und fruchtig, ein wenig Pfeffrigkeit untermalt das Ganze. Und auch ein Hauch von Eiche findet sich.

Kommentar: schöner Whisky der Einsteigerklasse, der nicht überfordert und angenehme Aromen mitbringt. Durch die nur 40% leider im Geschmack etwas sehr leicht. Dennoch für den Preis kein Kauf, bei dem man was verkehrt machen könnte.
