Product description
Slyrs Bavarian Rye is the first rye whisky from the distillery at Schliersee. In addition to rye, the mash also consists of wheat, barley and spring water from the mountains around Schliersee. American Rye Whiskey is stored in freshly burnt out barrels made of American white oak as standard and so the Slyrs Bavarian Rye also matured in heavily burnt out ones.

Located at the Schliersee lake, Slyrs Distillery ranks among the best-known whisky distilleries in Germany. Its name is derived from the old name of the region. The first Whisky was already distilled on the stills of the traditional Lantenhammer distillery in 1999, but in 2007 Slyrs Whisky found its home in the newly erected Slyrs Distillery in Neuhaus. read more

Aroma: Blumiges Getreide, süßliches Spiritus/Desinfektionsmittel, Erfrischungstuch mit Zimt Aroma.

Geschmack: Sehr sanftes und cremiges Mundgefühl, leichte Bourbon Noten, kräftiges Zimt.

Abgang: Ganz leicht würzig, zimtig, kurz.

Kommentar: Mit anderen Rye nicht zu vergleichen. Ist mal was ganz anderes.
