The new 12-year-old Benriach was matured in three different types of casks: Besides Bourbon and sherry casks, port casks were also used to create a multi-layered malt. The design of the bottle and the tube are based on the original Benriach from the time before its closure in the 90s.

Kommentar: Ich schließe mich der Meinung von Martin am 9.6.2024 an: auch für mich ist der 10-jährige besser (mit 3 1/2 Sterne).
Diesen Whiskys ist gemeinsam, dass sie von drei Holzarten geprägt sind. Wie ich finde werden die Destillate davon erschlagen. Nach einem ersten Schluck, der mir vielversprechend vorkommt, trübt sich dann das Bild ins ungenaue.
