Aroma Sweet sultanas and sultanas with rounded peat smoke and liquorice layers and a hint of citrus sweetness.
Taste Brown sugar and malty sweetness, then orange peel, citrus, dark chocolate and hints of sherry sweetness.
Finish Chocolate covered sultanas, oak smoke, mixed spices and lingering PX sweetness.

Product description
This Kilchoman was married from 61 casks and was allowed to spend its entire maturation period in them for at least 5 years. PX sherry is even sweeter and richer than other types of sherry, which is also clearly visible in the whisky.
The Pedro Ximénez sherry casks used for the maturation of this bottling originally come from the world-famous Bodega José y Miguel Martin in Jerez, Spain.

After more than 125 years, the Kilchoman farm distillery is the first new distillery to be built on the island of Islay. At the distillery, which was founded in 2005 and produces a 100 per cent Islay Single Malt, all production steps are carried out on site, from the cultivation of the barley to the filling of the bottles. read more
