The Selección de Familia by Botucal expands the tradition range of the Venezuelan company with a premium rum. The Destilerías Unidas marry three different distillates made from Virgin Sugar Cane Honey and sugar cane molasses. The sugar cane molasses is distilled in a Barbet Column Still to produce a light rum, a steam boiler processes Virgin Sugar Cane Honey into a medium rum and a copper still turns Virgin Sugar Cane Honey into a heavy rum. 90% of the heavy rum is combined with 5% of the light and 5% of the medium rum and bottled at 43% vol. The result is a rum characterised by honey and red fruits with a gentle vanilla note.

Kommentar: wunderschöne kandierte Papaya, Ananas und eine rote Frucht in der Nase. Im Geschmack dunkle rote Früchte u.a. Pflaume darüber ein hauch Puderzucker und Vanille. Im Abgang schöne Würze nach Zimt und Eiche. Bleibt lange im Mund erhalten und schmeckt nach mehr
