The Redbreast Pot Still Whiskey is produced at the Midleton distillery on the south coast of Ireland. For the 12-year-old bottling, the Irish whiskey was matured in a combination of bourbon barrels and Oloroso sherry casks.

Kommentar: der Redbreast 12 Jahre ist bei den irischen Whiskys ein Muss. Es führt kein Weg daran vorbei. Den Redbreast 21 Jahre habe ich für besondere Anlässe zu Hause. KleinerTip: Hier bei Whisky de kaufen und nicht bei Jameson in Dublin ( die wollten schon 2018 - 250 Euro). Obwohl kein Single Malt ist der 12 jährige ein sehr gut ausbalancierter Whisky und hat eine angenehme Süße und Milde, die ihn auch bei Frauen sehr beliebt macht. Meine Tochter ( eigentlich trinkt sie wenig Alkohol) liebt diesen Whisky ( und die von Teeling). Aufgrund der dreifachen Brennung auch keine Ecken und Kanten.

Kommentar: Milder aber dennoch vollmündiger Ire. Tolle Abwechslung zum Single Malt aus Schottland. Sollte in keinem gut sortierten Barfach fehlen.

Kommentar: Der einheitlich Geschmack von Beginn bis zum Abgang unterscheidet ihn von den best whiskeys, die je nach Stadium, unterschiedliche Geschmacksnuancen bieten, aber das ist ja auch nicht die Absicht, daher: tiptop empfehlenswert.
