Aroma Waves of stewed plums, dried fruits, heather honey and cinnamon combine with dark chocolate.
Taste Intense notes of mocha, toasted oatmeal and butterscotch. This is followed by gentle hints of siurp, cinnamon and orange peel.
Finish A hint of toffee and some dried figs.

Product description
This Glenallachie was bottled exclusively for Whisky.de's 30th anniversary. It was matured for 11 long years in a single puncheon, which previously contained Oloroso sherry. Puncheon is an old English unit of measurement, in terms of casks, it refers to somewhat wider, stockier types than butts, which also hold 500 litres.

Kommentar: Ein Hammer Whisky. Ich muss sagen, dass hier wirklich ein ausgezeichnetes Oloroso-Fass ausgewählt wurde. Auch sollte ich erwähnen, dass ich Whiskys aus dieser Art Fass über alles schätze, daher passt der für mich total. Nussig und Ölig liegt er auf der Zunge, dazwischen schokoladig mit dunklen roten früchten. Der Alkohol ist super eingebunden und trägt den langen Abgang. Zum reinlegen...
