Product description
The Appleton Estate Rare Casks Rum was matured for at least 12 years in oak casks. Like all other Appleton Estate rums, the Rare Casks does not contain any flavours added afterwards.
Appleton Estate was founded in 1749 in the Nassau Valley, making it the oldest distillery on the island. The distillery includes sugar cane plantations as well as its own spring and yeast breeding. The rum is traditionally produced here in the elaborate Pot Still process with ingredients from the estate's own production.

Sehr weicher Rum, eher Jamaika-untypisch. Vielleicht schon ein bisschen zu lang gelagert, da der 8 jährige hier noch mit frischeren, fruchtigeren Noten punkten kann, während hier deutlich das Fass durchkommt, was nicht schlecht ist, aber eher weniger was ich in einem jamaikanischen Rum suche. Trotzdem hat Appleton, wie auch bei seinen anderen beiden jüngeren Vertretern, hier ein wunderbares Preis-Leistungsverhältnis auf die Beine gestellt. Oak Caramel Dark Chocolate Spices Coffee Vanilla
