The Tullamore distillery was founded in the year 1829 in the eponymous city of the Offaly earldom in the ccenter of Ireland. The name of the Whiskey is a combination of the place and the initials of Daniel E. Williams, who was the distillery manager at the time. Over the years, the distillery was closed for 60 years. Until it was reopened in 2014, the Tullamore Whiskey was distilled in the Midleton distillery in the earldom of Cork.

einfach, fruchtig und mit süßem Abgang. Das Ciderfass kann man fast greifen. Gutes PLV.

Kommentar: klassisch irisch mild durch die Dreifachdestillation, der Apfel aus dem Cider-Fass kommt für mich im Geschmack schon gut rüber, Abgang jedoch allgemein etwas kurz. Für Tullamore D.E.W Fans sowie Liebhaber von Cider bzw. Cidre absolut empfehlenswert!
