The sugar cane for the molasses of The Demon's Share rum spirit is mined on the nutrient-rich volcanic soils in the middle of Panama and distilled in traditional colum stills. It is then matured in toasted American white oak barrels for 6 years and is given the final touch by the addition of orange zest, vanilla beans and sugar. The name for Marco Savio's creation is derived from the 'Angel's Share' (which refers to the proportion of whisky that evaporates from the cask in the course of its ageing), which is widely used in the whisky industry, and which the founder quickly renamed 'Demons Share'.
