In The Vatting Series, independent bottler Murray McDavid, based at the Coleburn distillery, marries selected malts to create a new taste experience. This 7-year-old Peatside was created from various Single Malt whiskies from the Speyside and the west coast of Scotland. This Blended Malt received 18 months of post-maturing in burnt-out oak casks that were previously filled with Islay malt, giving the malt a sweet, subtle smoky note.
