Only a few distilleries in Scotland are still private owned. The Speyside distillery Glenfarclas is one of them. Maybe it’s the best known among them and maybe it’s one of the most successful family owned distilleries in Scotland ever. Mir persönlich hat er gut geschmeckt.Ein für den Preis recht komplexer Whisky ohne Kompromisse.Die 15 Jahre machen sich hier bemerkbar.Uch würde ihn wieder kaufen wenn der Preis nicht zu sehr steigt.

Aroma: Braucht etwas um sich zu entfalten, besonders wenn die Flasche frisch geöffnet wird. Die Farbe gibt bereits einen Hinweis darauf was einen erwartet. Eine nicht dominante Kopfnote die zwischen süsslichen fruchtigen Tönen und dem Sherry schwankt und sich dann damit vereinigt.

Geschmack: Nichts störendes sondern sehr rein und klar, dennoch eine ein breites Bouquet, dass sich mit etwas Wasser verdünnt, insebsondere für "Wenig-Trinker" besser erschliesst. Deutlich komplexer als der 10er. Eignet sich gut für Einsteiger die sich einem Charakterkopf nähern möchten und die Zwischentöne herausschmecken möchten.
