Aroma: Notes of burnt citrus peel, sea salt and campfire combine with hints of nectarine syrup, lime and marmalade. Towards the end, accents of hay bales, coal cellar and crude oil take over.
Taste: Puffed rice, homemade rice pudding and white chocolate merge into facets of bright lemons and limes with nuances of cucumber. Cream and Viennetta ice cream meet hazelnut and chocolate flavours towards the end. Burning heather and smoked pralines at the end.

Maclean's Nose comes from the Argyll peninsula opposite the Isle of Mull and is created by the Ardnamurchan Distillery. The label is made from the draff that is left over from the barley after production and is usually fed to cattle and farm animals. The bottling was developed in honour of 'Chief Nose' Charles Maclean in order to convince his fine nose for Scotch whisky, which the distillery has certainly succeeded in doing with Maclean's Nose. A high malt content (70%) combined with a high proportion of former sherry casks makes the blend a fruity and pleasantly fine-spicy flavour experience.
