Beschrijving van het product
The Highlands whisky region is large and diverse. From heavy, maritime malts to light, floral ones, there is something for pretty much every Taste in the Highlands. We start our tour at the northern distillery Glenmorangie with the mild, malty 10-year-old. During a stopover at the Tomatin distillery, we savour the fruity and subtly smoky 12-year-old. Finally, at the Dalwhinnie distillery in the heart of the Highlands, we savour the light, fruity-sweet 15-year-old.
Taste three Single Malts from the Highland distilleries together with Ben and Horst Lüning. The live tasting has already taken place. However, you still have the opportunity to purchase this delicious compilation as a set. You can find the video of the live stream directly here in the article or on the Whisky.de YouTube channel.

Aroma: Zitrus Apple Peach Malt Vanilla Herbs Zitrusnoten und fruchtig nach Apfel und Pfirsisch. Dazu süßliche Vanilleschote und ein paar frische Kräuter. Trotz der nur 40% scheint mit der Alkohol nicht optimal eingebunden zu sein.

Geschmack: Malt Sweet Nuts Fruit Spices Wirklich zuerst sehr mild. Ich finde ein paar Nüsse und Früchte, eine leichtes Prickeln von Gewürzen ist auch da.

Abgang: Spices Caramel Oak Die Gewürze kommen hier deutlicher raus. Geht dann über in eine karamellige Süße mit ein wenig Eichenbitterkeit.

Kommentar: sehr mild und süffig. Für Einsteiger sicher eine tolle Sache. Aber halt auch irgendwie nichtssagend und beliebig. Wollte ich nach langer Zeit mal wieder probieren, aber wäre eigentlich nicht wirklich nötig gewesen.
