Grace O'Malley Dark Char Cask Whiskey is a special blended whiskey that combines different batches of triple and double distilled single malts and grain whiskeys. The 'Grace O'Malley' brand is dedicated to the Irish pirate queen Grace O'Malley, who was an intrepid sailor and a charismatic leader of the County Mayo nobility. The master blender selects the best barrels and decides which round off the whiskey best. The different degrees of maturity bring out the fruitiness, mature character and softness. Finishing in heavily burnt American oak bourbon barrels gives the blend a smooth flavour.

Aroma: Reichlich Vanille, süßes Popcorn, helle Früchte und leichte blumige Noten.
Geschmack: Fein, weich und recht eintönig: Viel Vanille und Milchschokolade.
Abgang: Kurz bis mittel. Wieder Vanille in allen Varationen (Gebäck, Pudding, usw.), zarte Eiche und Süße wie bei Pudderzucker.
Kommentar: Wie leider auch die meisten irischen Whiskys, doch nur Mittelmaß! Bislang konnten nur Whiskys der Marke Teeling mich wirklich überzeugen! Preis/Leistung ist ganz in Ordnung. Nur der Wachsverschluss an der Flasche ist ein Riesens....... ! Solten sich mal an Beispiel an Makers Mark oder Blantons nehmen, die können das RICHTIG machen. Sorry liebes Irland, aber eure Whiskys haben mich noch nicht so begeistert.
