For Peat's Sake is a blended whisky produced by independent bottler Angus Dundee. Behind the name is the story of the maltster 'Peat' who shovelled far too much peat into the kiln. The distillery manager then scolded the smoke all over the distillery 'For Peat's sake! For the Blend, equally strong smoky malts were blended with milder Grain whiskies.

    Geschmack: rauchig, sämig. Peat Smoke Alcohol

    Abgang:

    Kommentar: Rauchig, süffig, billig! Sonst nichts.
    Ein dünnes Wässerchen.
    Da gebe ich lieber richtig Geld für einen Ardbeg, Laphroaig usw aus, als für diese Brühe.

    Aroma:

    Für mich als Neuling im Umgang mit Rauch, hat Peat da schon einiges an Torf rein geschaufelt. Die Haferkekse mit Vanillecreme waren in seiner Hosentasche. Sie waren präsent, aber eben noch von etwas verdeckt. In der anderen Hosentasche muss er Rosinen oder etwas anderes fruchtiges zusammen mit Karamell dabei gehabt haben.

    Geschmack:

    Während seiner Pause im Rauch, kam alles aus seinen Taschen raus, damit erst deutlicher zum Vorschein, und dann in seinem Mund zusammen; Der torfige erdige Rauch, etwas Karamell, plötzlich ein paar Speckwürfel und eine Handvoll Rosinen.

    Abgang:

    Mip vollem Mump ifp er bamm … äh Verzeihung: Mit vollem Mund ist Peat dann irgendwann wieder ans Werk gegangen, und hatte auch nach dem Schlucken noch eine Weile etwas davon.

    Kommentar:

    Der „For Peat´s Sake ist mein zweiter Gang durch rauchenden Torf. Vielleicht geht es noch länger da lang, oder aber ich komme auf jeden Fall wieder dort hin wo es raucht!
